Drawing ON a sphere HOW?!?!
-
Hey everyone,
I know how to create a sphere but I've been trying to draw on the sphere and have no idea how to make it happen. I'd like to create a ridge or "bump" that travels around the outside of the sphere. Maybe also add a carved line that travels around the circumference of the sphere as well.Anyone know how to do that? Thanks so much for the help!

Hi Chris,
If you turn on hidden geometry (View menu), the softened edges will be revealed. You can use these just as any edges in SU to draw on, along etc.

Fredo's Tools on Surface plug in for drawing on the sphere, http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=76625#p76625
And perhaps Joint PushPull for ridges may help http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=42783#p42783 -
