3skeng Pipe Modelling Plugin - Any Further Developments ???
-
If anyone had problems to synchronize the 3skeng database please download the latest setup which should fix the problem...
-
Thanks for the update, Sebastian...
Wonder why I didn't receive an e-mail notification with information that v2.0 is now available...
Now that I've installed the new version, it's has changed from licensed version to an evaluation version, which will be active for 60 days...
I suppose I need to take this via e-mail to get things sorted...Any way... Looking forward to test the new functionalities...

Frederik,
We started to send out the email notifications. Further notifications will follow soon. If you activate 3skeng 2 with the same parameter you used for your first purchased 3skeng release. the 3skeng client will replace the evaluation status with the purchased status.

Thanks, Sebastian...
From my initial tests it looks really good...
Best thing is that the "3skeng Component List" and "3skeng Component Lable" tools are working with models build with previous version...A question...
Are we able to build our own component libraries, which will be a part of the 3skeng list?
I/we use various kinds of flanges, valves, components from Danfoss Socla, Belimo and other vendors a lot... -
Frederik,
thanks for the positive feedback. The label and list tool was also very high ranked on our internal whish list and we use these functions a lot in our actual engineering projects.
Further libraries will follow step by step. The 3skeng software architecture does currently not allow to upload own libraries in the database. The purchased libraries will be maintained automatically.
However, you can place 3skeng detail connectors in your own components to make them 3skeng compatible.

Thanks, Sebastian...
Looking forward to check out the libraries... -
Frederik,
FYI: 3skeng now including a tool to generate rectangular ductwork. New libaries are also available since today.

What happened to this plugin...?
The web-site seem to be down and I haven't seen any updates for a long time... -
They presented at Basecamp. So it's still alive and well.

Cheers, Rich...

Hhmmm... Not from here...
Guess I'll try again tomorrow...
Thanks for the heads up anyway... -
Maybe Sebastian will stop by and give us an update. This plugin has huge potential.
-
They still seem to have some issues with the web-site, which seem to be down from time to time...
I have an issue with the latest version (ver. 2.4.010)...
Although I'm going to contact their support directly, I want to know if anyone else have issues with this version...? -
Frederik,
the website 3skeng.com is up and running. I opened the website and everything is looking good. Can you please describe the difficulties you have?
Regards, Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,
Please note that I've also sent an e-mail direct to your support as well as to Ralf Schiessl...

I don't have any issues when I enter this url: http://www.3skeng.com/en/index.htm
However, if I only enter http://www.3skeng.com I get the message that there's a problem loading the web-site and it can be caused by a firewall or proxy... -
Just a quick update...
Got in contact with Ralf at the 3skeng support and things got sorted...
For me the issue was related with the Internet connection at my office...
Don't know exactly what caused the issue, but when I tried with another Internet access, I was up running in no time...The 3Skeng support certainly is brilliant...

I too would like to know more about this plugin. Are the components in Imperial Units? What kind of components are available? I need imperial piping, motors, valves, transmitters, etc...Below is an example of process piping I did last week. It would have been much easier to do with this plugin.

Bump. Sigh .....

When I tried it there was only metric units so it was, unfortunately, of no use to me.
I reallycould use it for my facility models.
