You know you have seen them before. Those annoying little vinyl characters that people collect... like these:

Well here is one of your own. "Paint" it how you like and post your result.

Model created by me utilizing Artisan. πŸ˜‰

I have a "lighter", less smooth version which is less than 500k if you want, just PM me.

This looks like a fun one, is a Dunny a blank figure that kids decorate themselves or are they bought painted?

As an ex-pat Australian I thought I should point out for the foreigners hereabouts that a Dunny could be referring to a great piece of quality Australian architecture.

Many a student has been shattered by the intricacies of designing one.

Few get it right, but those that do go on to greatness.

Both actually. You can get blank ones or you can paint a template and have them professionally done or you can even buy ones done by artists in collections. they come in many sizes as well. The 3" are most common but there are even 6' tall ones like the one I posted up. πŸ˜„
Disney got on the bandwagon a few years ago and started marketing their own Mickey ones too. There are many different designs etc... I just thought this would be a nice challenge to model.

Alvis, that is a fantastic start. Well done. ❗

Oli I'm guessing that is you playing with Thea?

Pete, I love the weathered ones. Is that done in Thea? Is it using displacement and is the background a hdr?

All in Thea. I just exported the blank model from SU.

I just imported the grass displacement texture pete posted and applied it. I could not figure out how to scale the grass up so I scaled the model down and got it to look right. Increasing the Height (cm) value did not seem to do anything 😳

I have not found any displacement tuts other than what people talk about when they post a material.

                                    Thanks to pete...
