      Hi All

I have to model a spiral ramp in a parking garage.

I downloaded hel_ramp.rb and placed it in the plugins folder, but it does not show up anywhere when SU is opened.

      3 questions.
Is hel_ramp.rb what I need to model the ramp?
What do I need to do to get the rubyscript working?
Is there any other way of modeling the spiral ramp?

Running both SU 6 Pro & SU 7 Pro

      Thanks
      Mike

        1. It might be what you need
        2. Were there no instructions with it ? Open the .rb file in Notepad.exe and see what it says in the first section - there are usually usage notes. The last section also shows which menu the tool appears in - if any. Failing that typing 'hel_ramp' or something similar in the Ruby Console might do it.
        3. There are several tools available - e.g. my Extrusion Tool zipped set or Fredo's CurviLoft beta...
BUT you can make a simple ramp 'by hand'... see thisRampTut.PNG

          Hi,

I like to use for such tasks Grow.rb and Create loft junctions.

One of the easiest ways to make one is ...first build a straight ramp with the required slope then use Chris Fullmer's shape bender plugin to bend it along a path...

when you fail at something....you haven't really failed...you've found one way the thing will not work out
