I've been using a chair in a few of my models/renders (see attachment) and I would really like to know if the design is based on a real-world product.

I've looked at the big-name manufacturers and my web searchers have all drawn a blank.

Does anyone recognise this mystery chair?

It's a sort of 'Barcelona Chair' by Mies van der Rohe... http://www.gomodern.co.uk/store/barcelona-chair.html but a bastardized version with an 'Eames' base...

To be honest I think it looks more like a cross between the Olivier chair and the Eames Lobby chair.

Thanks for the suggestion though ๐Ÿ‘

I think that I might be onto something.

I have a suspicion that it's a re-imagining of the Ari chair by Arne Norell:

It has the same distinctive undulating seat shape.

                More examples.

I've inadvertently stumbled onto the correct identity for this chair and solved the mystery.

It was a bit weird really as I was looking for something completely different - I was searching for interesting 70s and 80s gadgets for the latest speed modelling challenge and an image of the chair popped up during a Google images search:
