I just installed FredoScale and Joint Push Pull and suddenly it takes FOREVER to open my models. Has anybody experienced this? SU v7.1. Does anybody have suggestions for how to troubleshoot it?

As I've collected more and more plugins I've noticed SUP starts slower, loading toolbars and such. Some plugins seem to delay more than others (1001bit). I'm curious if there's a way to speed it up, but mostly I'm OK with it taking a 20-30 sec to launch (from an SSD!)

I'd actually be much more interested in multithreaded sketchup/plugins. With the trend towards 4-8 slow cores over a couple faster ones, having a plugin take minutes or hours using only 1/4 of my computer's horsepower just feels slow.

The multi-threaded issue is actually a Ruby issue -- there is a Java Ruby hybrid that has true multi-threading but I don't know that it would work with Sketchups Ruby API.

        Best,
        Jason.

I create video tutorial series about several 2D & 3D graphics programs.

Is it when you open the Sketchup application or when you open a model once Sketchup has started? In this latter case, the plugins should have no effect on the load time of the model (except those using observers).

If it when you open Sketchup, then you can check the plugin loading time, at least for FredoScale and LibFredo6 in Tools > Fredo6 Collection > FredoScale > About...
