Hi all, I need some help (for help).

I use XP and the default installation folder for SU is here:
      C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp #

Could you add where this folder should be on Vista, Win 7 (both 32 and 64 os's) should be? And on these os's are the plugins etc. folders just there, under the ain SU folder or elsewhere somehow?

Also, I forget where plugins, components, materials and styles are stored on the mac (I know that's completely different)

      Thans in advance.

      Gai...

Vista default Sketchup 32bit installation is in
          C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp #\
          [The '#'==Version number e.g. '8']
The Plugins folder etc are always located directly inside that...

I'm 99.9% sure the Win7 installation is the same...

I suspect that on a 64bit PC the path changes for non-64bit programs to be
          C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google SketchUp #\

The typical MAC installation is in
          Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp #/SketchUp

To find where Sketchup is actually installed on your PC or MAC type/copy+paste this snippet into the Ruby Console
          Sketchup.find_support_file("")
which returns the path to the Sketchup folder for that version/OS. 🤓

I can confirm that TIG's 0.01% doubt is in fact the correct path and his suspicion of the location in WIN7 64bit is also correct.

okay, thanks guys a lot. I keep bouncing into users that never know where and how their stuff is installed and it's sometimes hard to help when one needs to stab in the dark.
