Where to find extracted plugins in sketchup 8
-
hi! i am able to extract and use my plugins on sketchup 8 but the problem is i cant seem to find where the .rb files are... i extracted directly into theplugins folder using extractnow. (C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 8\Plugins) but when i go there.. theres noting except for the vray.
im using windows 7 32-bit.
intel core i5
ati hd5770i tried it in the office a while ago but i did not extract it, i just copy/paste. it worked and i can see them on the folder. but at home i extracted and im not able to view the files. i want to delete some plugins i just installed.

Sounds like you're opening su7
Su8 installs alongside 7 and has it's own plugin folder -
hi jeff! thanks for replying. no, i am aware of that.. i even renamed the folder in su7 plugins to plugins2. i am so confused.. i tried compatibility mode to windows xp and the plugins did not show up.. i revert to normal windows 7 again and they show up again..

check your folder and file permissions. it's possible that somehow creator/owner was set without any read permissions... in general i set my permissions to allow me access to the entire SketchUp folder so i can add/update materials, plugins, components, styles etc. this can be a security risk but for me it fits my workflow.

Can you post a screenshot of your plugins folder?
