Ruby Toolbars V8 Problem?
-
I'm having a problem setting up my Ruby tool bars in V8.
I cant seem to shape the toolbars vertically as would happen in V7 etc. but rather they stay horizontal or in rows of four tools.

Yes, I too with a 3d party plugin, it would not divide neatly into two columns on the left, so I placed them elsewhere.

Yeah Ive had to do that as well, while actually turning off the tool bars I use less frequently.....otherwise, with them all loaded along the top, my SU screen will look more like a letterbox.
This must have been picked up by the beta testers.....I'd love to know why it wasnt fixed.

hmm.. well, you can unload BoolTools now that'll free up some space..
[ok, sorry.. i'll stay out of the windows toolbar discussions from now on unless i have something helpful to add ]

Reshape a floating horizontal toolbar by dragging its corner - it becomes vertical with the desired number of columns [one or two usually], then simply move it into the side-bar - AND it stays vertical with that number of columns...

Thanks TIG Yes, thats soooo intuitive...making it automatic, as in the previous versions, was just way too easy...

It seems if a Toolbar is made vertical while floating, it will change to fit the top Toolbar palette too, but if it horizontal while floating, it will not change to fit the side toolbar palette. But this is the same in versions 7 and 6 (I just tried.)

Tig, and Jim, Thanks for the tips, good to know. Funny thing with one of my menus, because one selection is a little bigger then the rest, I am able to get 2 1/2 columns too:-)
