Hi I’m John and new to SketchUp, I am wondering is there a way when using the rectangle tool to select the first point by just dragging to a point (i.e. red axis)and then manually entering the second value(i.e. green axis)?

      Hi John,

Unfortunately no, this kind of "mixed input" won't work with the rectangle tool

actually it does work! While dragging out a rectangle if you type (24 enter) the dimension after the coma remains at the cursor and the first side becomes 24". While dragging out a rectangle if you type (,24 enter) the dimension before the coma remains at the cursor and the second side becomes 24". 😉
