      Hi guys,
      I am working on a custom home for a contractor however I need help with the roof as it is very complicated

          That's a great technique. i was doing that before I knew Aiden had a video on it. The only thing I would add is

          Make the Roof a group unto itself to make the Erasure process a little easier.

            Import the image, draw over it [keeping equal sides and using rectangles etc]draw verticals at ridges and draw hips etc...

              are you building a shell model only? or interiors... different approaches depending on end use of model / images.

              i usually build it flat on the ground, then clean it up and raise it into place, separate from walls and etc.

              same pitch, same overhang, same plate height everywhere?
              that's eas(ier)... lots of ways to do it.

                Thanks guys realy helped I am geo modeling this so it is going to be basic! Roofs are not my forte...
