Since LightUp has the texture animation feature, I am enjoying the easy workflow when making walkthroughs with simulated video screens and monitors.
At some point at around fifty and more frames it is getting complex in Photoshop. Btw, any idea how to automate video to "film-texture"?
I also like this sort of "feedback workflow", I mean that you can make your own animated texture from LightUp`s exported image sequence movie...

...can't thank you enough for making LightUp, Adam!

                  Amazing.
Excuse me if this question has been asked of you before, but are these qualities that you assign in light up exportable to other rendering engines? i.e animation, transparency, point and other lights and their settings?
                  Thanks

Dale, I think the answer is no in most cases (please someone correct me If I am wrong, I am just a user). Compared to other render engines LU is unique, working very different. Although I know that many use LightUp to export to game engines.

Adam, I have not been to the LU gallery for long - some really great new renders you have there!

Thanks Alexander, I suspected so. But it doesn't take away from the brilliance, and ease of use, of this software.

just checked out the lightup player. WOW!! 😲 best SU walkthrough software yet. 😍
BTW, do animated textures work in the player?

That was exactly my very first thought!

The other day I "discovered" the player and now finally (after so much time scratching my head), I really have to buy LU!

Gaieus: LightUp Player has exactly the same features and behavior as LightUp inside SketchUp.

So, yes. Any animated Dynamic Components setup in LightUp, texture animation and color animation as well as SketchUp Scenes work inside LightUp Player. It also can run Fullscreen for presentations etc.

dale. The light rigging + shader parameters should be able to be exported from LightUp. The texture animation also but in that case there isn't other packages that support that kind of thing.

FYI The webpage for LightUp Player is here http://www.light-up.co.uk/player

Currently, in LU Player, you can pivot around a point (Alt/Ctrl) as well as navigate around your model.

Ah - the pivot is nice.
Though I wish the mousewheel could be used. (or should it work? in any case - does nothing for me)

One thing I struggled with when navigation was to get the camera to stop. The inertia effect keep drifting the camera further away than I want.

Also, would there be a chance to "add speed"? (In some FPS style game engines you toggle a "running" mode with the shift key). With some bigger models this speed would be a bit slow if you want to wander all around...

And some basic localization? That short(ish) menu would not be a hard work to translate.

How about a web based viewer? (I know I ask too much and a web based viewer is something different than just add running mode and localization...) πŸ˜’
