I am running SketchUp 7.1 and Google Earth 5.1. I have a problem regarding scenes when I place my model into Sketchup.

To recap my steps, after first opening Sketchup, I got the Current View from Google Earth. After which, I positioned my model on the Google Earth image and then set up four scenes. So far, so good. However, when I place my model back into Google Earth, the scenes (which appear under the subfolder Tour) have shifted from those set up in Sketchup. Is there any way to correct this?

I have tried to determine the coordinates (latitude and longitude) for each of the four scenes in Google Earth which I could then assign to placemarks in Google Earth - but I don't know how to do this. Is there a script to locate scene coordinates in latitude and longitude?

      Thanks.

        John,

As far as i am aware scenes in SU7 do not export to GE properly. You may have to adapt your GE camera view from within GE and then save it.

BTW Google Earth is up to 5.2 now

Download the free D'oh Book for SketchUp 📖

          Hi John,

Rich is right, SU scenes will not get correctly exported so you have to adjust them in GE. Just navigate to where you think it's all right, right click on the "scene" link in the sidebar and "Snapshot view" (or something like that). The original camera position will now be changed in GE.

          Gai...
