      Hi

I have a texture with 5 corners (not 4 as normal). Is it possible is some way to use the pins (maybe add one more ???) to put the texture correct on the surface ???

      Thanks

        Hi Iratus,

Sorry but I cannot imagine a texture with 5 corners. Textures (and image files) are always rectangular to my best knowledge at least.

If I would be a bit back from the latest developments however, you can still not have more than 4 pins in SU I am afraid.

A five sided shape won't 'tile' into a cohesive pattern anyway, so why try ?
The shapes that 'tile' simply are rectangles and hexagons - all others leave awkward gaps that need filling in. You can 'tile' isosceles and right angled triangles if you rotate alternate copies.Capture.PNGWith repeating patterns that aren't 'rectangular' [e.g. hexagonal] you need to edit the image and make a 'tiling' version - then when you apply it the surface will look like its divided into perhaps your original 'hexagons', but its image was rectangular... If you have say equilateral triangular pattern you tiled image needs to go to the next stage and rotate alternate parts so it tiles properly on a surface...Capture1.PNGThese are just a few examples of the myriad tiling images that are all rectangular but made so they join up and 'tile' nicely over a face...

OK, I can see now what he meant. It's actually not the image that's a pentagon but the pattern on it.
