3D Germanium Plugin for Websites
-
Hi,
Was looking for a means of displaying interactive 3d models on a website and came across this...
It's capable displaying models in KML or Collada format once you install the plugin for IE or Firefox
Here's a screen recording i did of a hotel room sample provided on the site. Excuse the jerkiness as i recorded at 5fps it's alot smoother in reality

Here's a slideshow which explains how the plugin works...
This seems a very effective tool for those interested in displaying their models and giving viewers total interactivity with them.
Do any members have experience using this?

I have just discovered it today. Was "promoted" in the Help Forums:

Maybe you could use it to let us stroll around your Basillica?
This page could do with some more content

Yeah but bottom line it explains why it is not that meaningful:
"(Now my friend called and I have to leave for a couple of drinks in my favourite, local Corner Bar so I will go on with the listing later). "

Rich, is that a Youtube video? Could you post a link to it? ...for some reason all I get is a blank white space...

Here is the link although it shows up to me embedded here as well:

Could be that big fancy mouse you won in ICEvision competion that is causing the problem?
Send it my direction to see if i can replicate the problem
As for this plugin, it's impressive to view some of the sample applications, especially the hospital model which shows off the programs capabilities.
Here's a link to some samples, you'll need to install the plugin for your browser
