Hi guys! sorry if i'm annoying you with my personal problem but I have a desperate need of polycarbonate material for vray for my graduation project. Usually i use ready materials and then i modify them (i change textures and/or some settings) but the polycarbonate is just too complicated for me. I found a free polycarbonate on vraymaterials.de but as you know it's not good for vray for skp. Have you ever seen polycarbonate material for vray for skp on the internet? or do you know how to crate it? wich settings should i change? any tutorial?

      Thanks in advance!
      jj

I imagine I saw one at the ASGVis website. They have quite a few materials for download.

yes i know , they have a lot of materials on their site but dont have polycarbonate. I wuold use some glass and decrease the transparency but i need to achieve the characteristic strips effect:

Your picture shows the Polycarbonate glazing which is a twinwall sheet made from PC( I use to sell this stuff). Have you tried modelling the sheet and using glass type materials in Vray? Maybe add a very light purple tint fog to the material?
              Cheers,

I think if you were trying to create that optical banding-effect of the material, you'd need to get creative with a procedural and fresnel effects. As far as just the sheeting, I think the previous posts have got it right, and you could also consider a bump or displacement map.
