Nope. There's no volumetric system in VfSU. 😞 You got to fake it in post.

False, there is a fog effect, but it's not quite like a realistc volumetric light... 👊

You can trying saving a depth map with Vray and then softening/blurring in PS and doing some sort of overlay.
The Fog in SU won't render in Vray.

I only know of a few engines that can render volumetric light/atmosphere like Vue (biased) Thea (unbiased) not sure if Indigo or maxwell can do it however.

What effect is that you're referring to? Are you talking about Sketchup itself instead of V-Ray for Sketchup?

Thomthom : it's Sketchup itself wich can produce a "fog effect" in the style panel, but non of the external renderer I tried could use this settings directly (Podium, Artlantis V1, Twilight, neither Kerkythea which has an internal volumetric light effect).

So, let's mix pictures and photoshop them...

Or, use this depth effect tutorials from sketchup, but using V-ray, it should be easier to use the innerVRayZDepth Render Pass

However, those tutorials couldn't give a correct volumetric light. Kerkythea, Vray, Maxwell and other could do it for advanced user... good luck

You can render of a Z-Depth render pass you know - from VfSU. One of the VFB channels.

hi I do know of one renderer that can render fog...
                    it's POV-Ray.
freeware, bit slow but very precise. SU2POV exporter can be found here

it does a constant fog if you've turned on SU fog, but in the renderer itself it's possible to do groundfog as well.
only disadvantage of this renderer is that it partly has a text UI.

Cararra does nice volumetric lighting too.
                      Bonsai3D's rederzone too.
