I have not been able to find a plug-in that will allow me to easily evenly space components along a line. The COMPONENTS ARE DIFFERENT so I am unable to use plug-ins like TIG's that distribute the same component along a path. The plug-in should allow me to select all the components and then it will adjust the spacing evenly along the axis that I specify. This functionality exists in most other drawing/layout programs, but I must be missing something on how to do it easily within Sketchup.

Thank you for any help you can give me on this.

How about using Chris Fullmer's ComponentStringer... this places one component along a 'path' - then doing a random substitution of the component with any other available component ? [there isn't a script but it's relatively easy to do...]
BUT it's awkward if there are lots of different components... how would you limit the replacement 'set' of components ?

Component stringer already works with multiple components. Just have all the desired components selected before running the script and it will place them all randomly along the path.

I should have guessed that you were already onto it... 😉

Dear Chris It is a very good news for a great enhancement of Component Stringer. But this option is not working for me. Are you sure you have made this upgrade available for download?? 😉

Hmm, I was pretty sure it was working in the available script. I'll have to look at it today and see what is going wrong.
