      Hi everyone

best wishes to all. my first post here.

I am a 3dsmax user but recently found sketchup to be better for faster modelling and especially architectural.
i want to know is there any tool like connect tool of 3dsmax where u can connect 2 edges with multiple segments.

I am basically trying to model grooves in a wall for which i need multiple edges along that wall which i can offset and then extrude back.

any other sketchup way to do this?

      thanks

Draw one line across the widest part, then you can simply copy that edge using Move+Ctrl and type in the distance - say 100, then if you type say 10x after that it will immediately make 10 copies each offset by that amount - 100, 100, 300 etc. If you were to type 10/ it divides the distance by 10 so the 'gap' is filled at 10, 20, 30 etc... Any overlapping lines will split as they cross the original edges and are readily erased using the eraser tool [with a fence/selection toggle keys etc if needed]

My interpretation of your question is: You have a series of line segments touching end to end and you want them to be one line segment.
If this is correct, you might want to look at the Weld plugin.
Why did I think this? Because you said "connect".

If this is incorrect, ignore this reply.

          Best wishes.
