      nudgeOrbit.rb

This tool orbits the current view around a set point in preset angle
      increments.
To use it activate its toolbar 'nudgeOrbit' from the Views > Toolbar
Menu if it's not already open.
Click the 1st button on the toolbar, 'nudgeOrbit', the view then steps
around by the specified angle. Keep clicking to move around...
To change the step-angle click the 2nd button 'nudgeOrbit Settings' on
the toolbar. In the resultant dialog enter a new angle - it can't be
zero - if it's a +ve number it steps clockwise and a -ve number it
steps counter-clockwise - the angle defaults to 15 degrees [clockwise]
when the model is opened, but any new angle is remembered during that
      session until it's changed again.
The camera's 'target-point' can be set is several ways.
If there is a selection then it overrides any other settings and its
bounding-box center will be used as the target-point; otherwise you
can use the 'nudgeOrbit Settings' dialog [as explained above] and set
the 'Target' to 'CameraTarget' or 'Origin' - the default is the
model's Origin [0,0,0]. The Target setting is remembered that
      session.
Tip: to specify an arbitrary 'point' as the target draw a 'cross' of
lines or even a guide-point at that location and pre-select just that
one thing, then the view will target in on its 'center'.
Remember too that you can save any view you make as a Scene Tab using
      the built-in Sketchup tools...

        I like the plugin. Congratulations.
If is possible to set invert direction keys, can be
        interesting.

With this tool's methods you simply reset the angle to a negative value so 15 becomes -15 and the orbit becomes 'counter-clockwise'...

Very nice, TIG! ...also could be useful in setting up scenes around an object to do a rotating rendering 👍

All current and recent that you are likely to want to use [perhaps even back to v5?]

                        Hi Tig,
I used your NudgeOrbit tool some times only, but I like it very much. The reason I used it so few is because NudgeOrbit converts always the Orthogonal view in Perspective view.

Perspective view is only good for Presentation purposes in my eyes, but to work i keep always the Orthogonal view.
I tried to understand how to interact with the current camera command too, but I wasn't able to figure out how to deactivate the perspective view. NO chance. 👊
If you're so kind to remove the perspective view or to leave the current camera as it is without switching to a particular view…that would be nice!
