Free animation frame viewer

Guys,
I am looking for a free app (hopefully) that will load a mess of stills and view them as an animation. Something like Fcheck by autodesk. It needs to be stupid simple that others can use. We just need them to be able to pick out a still in an animation that they want to see in greater detail. I know there are some apps like this out there but I can not find them for the life of me.

How about VirtualDub? It can export the string of images as an AVI. I see the site is new since I downloaded the version I have. There may have been a lot of updates since I did.
