Digital inches anyone?

I am looking for a way to enable dimensions in digital inches - can't seem to find it. I am designing small parts for machining, and want to make it easy on the machinists. All the templates I have so far discovered 'snap' to fractional inches - very frustrating.
Can anyone steer this budding novice-dimensional-klutz?

By digital, do you mean decimal inches?
Window>Model Info will display this dialog box
Now just pick your units. Also i presume it for SU not LayOut that you need this?
