Measurements problem

Hi all!
New here, but having a strange problem.
Sometimes, the measurements in the measurements box are displayed very weird. When I use the Tape measure tool to see how wide something in my model is, instead of just giving me for example "5mm", the box says "**~**5mm".
I've searched on the internet, but can't seem to find out what this "~" means. Also, when i export my model to have it printed in 3D, the measurements of the model are totally wrong (either way to big or way to small.. )
can anyone help me?

The "~" means "approximately" so 5mm is 5 mm BUT ~5mm is near to 5 mm but could be from around 4.51 mm up to 5.49 mm [it rounds up/down to ~5mm].
For a building you won't normally need to work to more than 1mm accuracy, I always use straight mm and accept the ~5mm for what it is - but if you want to see the odd part after the decimal point then change your Model-Info>Units settings to more accuracy say '0.00' and you'll then see them, BUT sometimes you'll still see "~" if the actual dimension is not exact to 2dp...

Hi folks.
If the object being measured is not exactly up to the precision of what you specified in your Units, you will get this ~ (approx.) symbol.
For example, if you specify 0.0 mm and the object measures 3.001 mm, you will get this ~ symbol. Just push the precision to more decimals (3 in this case).
Even if you did not enter such numbers, dividing a line or generating curves, for example, can lead to such numbers.
Just ideas.
