3 days ago, for some reason, Sketchup 7.0 began to start up minimized. Not only that, but the toolbars, which have always been vertically oriented and positioned at the left side of the screen, are lined up horizontally at startup. It only takes a minute to re-arrange everything to the way that it used to be, but is becoming annoying.

Has anyone else had the same problem? Is there a solution out there?

Changing the SUp window to full-screen and rearranging your toolbars as desired should set them permanently like that.
Might be an XP glitch - you could try a SUp Uninstall/Repair and then Reinstall if it doesn't fix it - but it might be an XP thing otherwise ?

            Hi guys!

4 years later I'm meeting the same problem with SU8 on Windows 7.
Since about a month, SU window always starts minimized. I have to click right "maximize" and reorganize all the toolbars which are superposed instead of being adjacent to each other.
My problem now is that I don't have any solution to reinstall it at the moment (office computer manage by wierd external admins, to make it easy).
            Any advice please?

Thanks if you can save me!

Ok! I finaly found the solution. I saw on a forum that the problem comes from the fact I have 2 screens (1 DVI, 1 VGA).
Just unplugged the second screen, launch SU... replugged and now it's working properly.
              Sorry for the inconvenience!
