Earlier in the beta we had to turn the multiplier up crazy amounts. like in the millions. But it was mentioned that was fixed recently. Though I've not had time to try it out.
Have you adjusted the multiplier at all?

Tried and it works when turned to crazy amounts...millions or so. Just hasn't been fixed since béta...like many other things I fear! From what we hear from many other users, I hope there'll soon be a patch to this version of VFSU, but I doubt.

There was issues with the previous release as well. But they did come out with patches. I've been talking to the developers and they are working on a patch. They are not ignoring us.

dkendig of asgvis thinks that its bad ies data, he is saying that the vray SU has the same of that vraymax. but dont know really yet. at home i will be testing the a simple scene with both vraymax and vraysu with the same setting to see if its the same.. i strongly believe there is indeed something wrong.. its not about using feet or meters.

cheers mate. will update you on this.

I recommend using IES data from GE or Sylvania or some other lightbulb manufacturer. If you find that one company doesn't suit your needs, try another. Why is there a difference if IES lights are supposed to be a standardized format? No idea, but that's what I've found in my tests. Check out the ASGvis forum for more about IES lights, there's been a bit of discussion on there about it. From all that we've seen and heard though, IES lights are working correctly. Power shouldn't be adjusted unless you are doing a minor change, such as dimming lights, or other slight adjustments. The Physical Camera will absolutely kill IES lights, just like it kills all of the other lights, so keep that in mind too when working with them.

I downloaded the Lithonia catalog of IES light data.

                        http://www.lithonia.com/Photometrics.aspx

It worked on the new Vray beta, I had to crank up the power to 1,000,000. I also created a little test file with each Vray Light in its own scene, I can attach a copy if anyone is interested.
