Sorry for the noob question but I'm really struggling with this...
Been researching all over the web for an answer but haven't found one so far - hopefully someone here can help?

In SU there is supposed to be the ability to modify the toolbars in the latest Windows version... right?
      Customizing a toolbar (Microsoft Windows)

Since I upgraded to Pro today I thought this problem would resolve itself but hasn't. I keep looking for the "customize" menu item but can't find it anywhere - can someone please advise?!

      Thanks much

        An alternative

With TBA interfaces we can analyse what is to be achieved so that IT can help with automation to achieve it.

The 'customize toolbar' is only available in 'Layout' NOT 'Sketchup' itself [yet] 😞

            Thanks guys,

Now can someone explain in simple language how to implement Jim's Custom Toolbars?

Tried to figure it out but I'm missing something. Got as far as moving the "toolbars.rb" file into the SU "plugins" folder> I checked the "Custom Toolbars" within the "preferences > extensions" box and added a custom toolbar file with .txt - but I'm n to sure what I need to add to the .txt file and if I should change the extension .rb?

            Appreciate any assistance..

There are a couple example toolbars available by default. It sounds as if everything is installed right as you have enabled the plugin in the Extensions dialog.

When you extracted the .zip file, did you also move the toolbars folder into the Plugins folder?

When you look in the View > Toolbars menu, do you have an Options or Pages toolbar? These names should correspond to the name of a text file in the Plugins/toolbars folder.

Also in the Plugins/toolbars folder is a commands.html file - this is a list of available comamnds you use in the .txt files.

              Hi

OK, got it working now... what an idiot!!! (me, most def not you)

Instead of extracting the zip files, I saw and pulled only the toobars.rb file. No wonder your instructions appeared so confusing regarding moving the "folder."

Makes no sense that something as fundamental as this isn't included with SU or why it doesn't follow the same customize toolbar procedure as in layout?

Anyway, can't thank you enough for creating this and your help!!!

BTW, is there a command for displaying components or the same as:
                Window > Component?

                Many thanks again...
