Different timezone per scene?

No, scenes do have different settings for shadow - time and darkness lightness etc. but it appear that the timezone property for scenes are ignored. This is not mentioned in the manual at all.
I reported it as a but - still awaiting reply. (SU-0623)

Actually - I'm not really sure. It's all confusing what's been changed.

I said it above, but maybe got skipped over, I think those values are there for legacy support. I think that is probably where SU 6 kept them, and read them. But SU 7 does not, and its on purpose.

hm... well, shadow info, time/date lightness, darkness on/off is set per page. But timezone is now dead except when it belongs to
Model. -
Which fits perfectly with my theory that they removed anything that might appear to change the location of a model from the scenes. The model still holds info there, but SU does not read it. It only reads location info from the model object. And time zone could be considered a location info.

This is where I disagree.
It'd be interesting to see what Google replies to my bug report though.
Probably be worth asking them to clarify the changes into the manual as well. -

And yet - you can have different North direction per scene...

I think SU models still hold that information for legacy support, but I don't think it is being read or acknowledged anywhere in 7.0+, is it?

You can set up scenes with different north angles in SU7.0/1 - no problem. Good thing for when you set up illustrations where you want to control the shadow to give the best description of the geometry - which will vary from scene to scene depending on the camera.
So I don't see why one can't set different timezone per scene.

That is odd. I would guess that ability was only left for the shadow illustration reason. All in all though, it does seem rather frustrating.

yea - if you can set north angle for illustrational purposes, you should be able to set the timezone. Of the two - timezone doesn't affect the model location.
