A couple of TwilightRender renders...Update 01-26
-
Not really understanding the wall in front of the house. If it was a house on a city street, yes. But it just looks wrong when the house is in that setting.
-
I think the render cooked really well, esp with the "heavy" trees.
I love the baby blues though, it's a couple of reflection on the roof that bothers me. -
They look fantastic, Tom. I think I'd prefer to see more sunlight on the front of the building. The second one is particularly dark.
-
please can you angle the sun so that the trees cast lovely shadows onto the house?
you know you want to
-
Tom,
These look great! I agree with Olishea - please render one with the front of the house lit up and shadowed from your wonderfull trees. Also, the heavy clump of branches on the big tree in the left foreground - is the mapping off on the branches or is it just the angle?

Great work Tom, I like the first picture best. The tones are fantastic!
-
No need to re-render - just a little touch-up in Gimp. If the author don't mind
-
Thanks a bunch, Guys...really encouraging! I took several of your suggestions to heart (sorry it took me so long to get back to you: got some contract work, finally!, so a guaranteed paycheck's gotta come first :`) and hope you like?
bytor...yes, the mapping is off and I do intend to fix it. Will now also add some lobes to the trunk bases and rework some of the larger lower and exposed branches so they work as nicely in the near foreground as the leaf pngs do (which surprised and pleases me a bunch :`)
-
These images look very good, good work on the tree's too!
I especially like the first one in your last post, it gives me the idea of peaceful world where everything's in harmony with each other!
-
Thanks, FoXar...that's the idea in the shade.
-
several sides of the 8's and 9's:
-
They look great, Tom.
-
11, 10, 8, 12, and 9 (finished 13 while this was cooking...gettin' closer :`)
-
Last of the set...now a little clean up then it's pants down and out on the street:
-
I think these are looking great...my only critique would be the quality of the skies, but the vegetation is really coming along
