Plugin organization

This is less of a question, but more of a suggestion, It would be really useful to have one place where all the available plugins, and their descriptions, links and stats, are posted on one page. there may already be such a place, and if so please someone let me know! Every time I need a new tool I find myself scouring the plugin forum for links and files.
any thoughts?

here's where all the plugins can be found that are listed by Author. Most of the heavy hitters are mentioned so it's a start.
This has been recently remodelled and the script writers have very dilligently made each update to plugin appear on the first post of each thread.
