Here's a way you could do it using Shape Bender.

Chris,
Awesome script and tutorial. I somehow have missed downloading Shape Bender. Off to get it now...

Also, if you add the 100mm thickness to a flat plane, you can always move one end face up like this
unfortunately, SU's autofold function is not always flawless so you still need a bit of cleanup for a nice, final result -
Some plugs can make that
Follow and Keep, Extrusion along a path (1001bits)... Extrude Edges by Edges, Extrude Edges by Rails, Component Stringer, FredoScale etc..Shape Bender ...
Depending of what do you want exactly! -

Chris, as always- great scripts and great video tutorials!
I had a DUHHHH moment when i saw you use the erase tool to UN-smooth geometry! Didn't know you could do that- i thought it could only smooth it -
Hehe, glad I could provide you with a "DUH" moment of your own.
I've always thought that watching how other people work in real time is an eye opening experience.

That you tube tutorial was really helpful, i think i will get shape bender too. Seems like a relatively straight forward method especially with the help of a voice over!
There are so many ways to make the curved ramp i take it!

I've added an example of using EEbyRails to make a simple OR complex ramp on a curve - see here http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=206584#p206584
All you need is a curve for the cross-section [profile] and curves for the two side rails - rotated in 3D so that the landing is as you want [probably level?]...
