      Hi
Im having trouble rendering a large image (2048x1536)
As soon as it getting to the rendering part, I get a memory failure.

In Task manager it says Im only using 69% of my memory.

I have 6gb DDR3 Coursair GT Dom Ram
The SU file is about 40mb and renders fine at 800x600

So this has got me confussed.
Ive also posted the same topic at the ASGVIS site. I have noticed there are a few other posts on the matter, all with no replies.

I have to have this job finished by 3rd Dec

      Thanks for any help

6gb doesn't matter. SU is a 32bit application and are therefore limited by 32bit architecture. When SU's memory usage start to creep up to 2GB you'll find it'll crash.

The workaround is to render directly to file instead of the VFB. I don't have a link at hand right now. But a search either here or on ASGVis's site on "large resolution rendering" or similar should bring up. I know there should be a tutorial on this on the ASGVis site under the Rhino section.

"New Map Mode" that would be "Single Frame" - which is already set in your screenshot.

Not sure about the VrimgtoExr converter. Tried installing/running as administrator?
          Compatibility mode?

            Thanks ThomThom

I found that section on High resolution rendering heres the link for anyone else.

            http://software.asgvis.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16&Itemid=55

But I have a new question
In that section, it says to Under the Irradiance map rollout enable the "New Map mode" and "Autosave" feature. Choose a filename and location that you will remember.

I cant seem to understand or find New Map Mode

Im also having problems installing the VrimgtoExr converter
It downloads fine. After I press run a black box flashes on the screen for a mere second then disappears. Ive done a search for it with no luck???????

              Cheers for your support Tom

I really dont know whats up with the VrimgtoExr converter.
              It really has me beat.

              everything else sort of worked
Im still getting memory failure when I try to render over 1600x800 with this particular model.
Im doing tests on other models now.

So do you think I just have to cut back on some of the material sizes and get rid of more of the hi poly components?

Ok solved the problem with the VrimgtoExr converter

you have to drag the vrimgover the vrimg2exr file for it to convert.
