Hi this is my first time using Vray and i'm chased by deadline for my final assignment πŸ‘Š . I encountered many problem with vray for sketchup (i'm using version 7.0) and any help would be appreciated. Here's my question :

      1. I already paint a glass with default translucent material from sketchup (both face, front and backward) and make sure there is no plane behind the glass, but why each time after i render, the glass look solid and not transparent at all. Any idea?
      2. My building color is almost all white, i want to ask how to make the final rendering have a little noise in it?
      3. Where i can download good VISOPT option for exterior rendering?

Thank you very much! πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘

1 go to the asgvis forum and search the really good glass tutorial by nomeradona. It really helps to learn how to make a glass material

2 use a perlin noise bump map?

              Single sided or "thick glass"?

              For single sided:

              • make the material fully transparent (If you want a colour to it, you could put it somewhere between 0-5% transparent)
              • Add a reflection layer to the material - with Fresnel map.
              • Adjust the Refraction value so it's not completely black, value 30
