Windows can treat you like a moron!
...yea, and since windows 7 like a real super moron. being admin and thinking being admin are different chapters in the holy book of "How to suprise with even more stupid ideas of programming".
Unfortunately it didn't help...does the same when i start sketchup as admin...maybe i have to install as admin....gosh...i am the admin! but it doesnt matter, can live with that!
thanks!

- "previously i reset my pc and of course installed sketchup.' This appears to be the failure point?
Have you tried removing the clean-up plugin and see if rest load?
Can you regress to a restore point before 1 above?
Have you tried making a new template and reloading?
If you use the native plugins installed with SU8 M3 does loading work ok?
Just some wild TS thoughts:)

Error Loading File tt_cleanup.rb
no such file to load -- TT_Lib2/core.rbI have downloaded the latest version of SU (8.0.14346) and I have also downloaded and use your Plugin Installer and I still get the error. Any thoughts?
I've also tried running as Admin and no diff.
Thanks for keeping this post aliver - super excited about the potential of this script! -
Looks like you didn't get the required TT_Lib2 file. Go back to the first post and read the section called Requirements. Download and install the TT-lib2 file.

Purge Unused > Purge Unused Layers / Purge Unused Materials / Purge Unused Styles
Hi Thom Thom
Is it possible to have the "purge unused" function separated into purge unused layers, purge unused materials and purge unused styles?
This would be useful for maintaining the structure of material palettes/ layer templates in models that require separate management of these hierarchies.
Cheers
Joel

I already wrote that years ago... http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=82559#p82559

oh my god how can i miss this one till now!!!
cleanin'up the ultra-crappy archicad model of the boss and it works like magic!
thank youu!!! -
when are we gonna have a feature that ignores locked groups e.g. autocad imported drawings?
-
This one has come in super handy today Thom, thanks!

Hey all.
It was my favorite plugin but for about few weeks it's not working...i just instaled in this time sketchup BIM plugin but it makes that cleaner was crashing...so I decided to delate SU BIM and reinstal cleaner...now it's just not working...just nothing happen with the model...i'm so confused...can somebody help or somebody had same problem??
Regards.
-
Did you get rid of all of the BIM plugin. It has been known to cause problems and perhaps you've missed removing a file. Or is it possible when you reinstalled CleanUp you didn't install it correctly? A screenshot of the Plugins folder would be useful.

Make sure the version of cleaner you reinstalled has the Lib to support it so double check ThomThoms install instruction.

When I choose Clean with last settings from the Menu, FredO's ThruPaint comes up. Any ideas how to stop that, other than uninstalling ThruPaint?
Peter
And, if I haven't said before, this is a great tool. Use it all the time--not just for messes but to save tons of work while drawing!
[Edit: I figured out that it is related to a setting in ThruPaint- "automatically activate Thrupaint when invoking the SU native Paint Tool".
None of the CleanUp individual Menu selections do this. Only when running Clean or Clean with Last Settings] -

None of the CleanUp individual Menu selections do this. Only when running Clean or Clean with Last Settings]That's probably related to meaterial cleanups - where CleanUp sets the current material to Default. Seems that ThruPaint detects current material change instead of actual tool change.

I had a problem with cleanup. It reported:
694 errors occurred. Please report the error and sample model to the author.
694 - Face merge resulted in lost geometry.
How do I submit the model?
Thanks,
Steve -
Post it here.
(Note that I'm quite busy these days and I'll be away travelling for a week so do not expect any fix (if there is something that can be fixed.) immediately.
-
Yea - don't take the stats to be 100%. Some times the geometry changes after it's been processed due to SketchUp's automatic merging of geometry - and sometimes due to precision issues.
-
I tried to upload the design, but got a complaint that it is too big ( > 4M)!

I find it a very useful plug, especaially it saves major time, and lets the client focus further on developing of a model, rather than taking time avoiding not needed edges. Well I have a question. Is it possible to make the cleanner delete the faces that have edges touching 3+ faces, although not delete the outside faces.
Example:
That face is not useful, in fact, it prevents a group from being a solid. Is there a way to let the cleanner do the job, rather than deleting faces manually? -
Determining what is an unwanted face in a mesh you'd like to see as a solid is not as straight forwards as it initially appear. To a human it's easy, we see what the geometry is suppose to represent and determine what needs to be removed.
From a programming perspective it's harder, all you have is a set of faces and edges what is "outsite" and "inside" isn't that easy to determine.I think there are a couple of plugins that tries to do what you ask for - think TIG got one. Have a look in the Plugin Index. I've not used it myself and don't remember the name.
