      for some reason the shadow hittıng the chairs leg wont render. i have had this porblem with some other models as well. it renders if it is above the ground but not if it is touching it.

          Seems to just be the angle of the sun that's pretty high up - so it doesn't cast a shadow very far. For your thin leg there isn't much to cast a shadow of.
          Adjust your sun to be slightly lower and see then.

          What V-Ray for Sketchup version do you use btw?

            the shadow length should be about twice the actual length. so i should be able to see some thing.

                sketchup 7.0 with the first version of vray 1.5 i dont think it was ever updated.
