      I have imported a map of a city and traced the bases of the building and extruded them upward. Looks pretty good. Now I want to properly size the building (so the whole map has a scale). I seem to remember that there is a way to select an edge that I know what the size is supposed to be and then set it to that size and have the whole model scaled likewise. Help...

        Yes there is. Use the Tape Measure tool. Click at each end point and then type the desired dimension. hit enter and follow the prompt.
