JulienJulien,
What I can do is to prepare a file with traces that you can run. The issue seems to be in the Palette drawing, but I don't see why it can take so long.

Jeff,
I have try to shrink the palette, but does respond for me (still same problem). However, I change the plugins folder as mention, and try out the roundcorner plugin. I still have the problem, but it responds a little more better.
First improvement, we are on the good way -)
Thanks julien

This is really a helpful plugin, with it it is easy to create sofas! Thanks a lot to give this for free!!
-
hi fredo
i can see that other people had succeeded installing and using the roundcorner plugin
i've extracted the folders into the plugin file and put it by the order u mentioned
when i tried to open the sketchup i'v got errors :Error Loading File ZLoader__RoundCorner.rb
uninitialized constant LibFredo6::Traductori'm a mac user and i would be more than happy to have a solution !!
-
Sasa,
I think you forgot to install LibFredo6, which is a shared library used by my plugins.

Ok, so I have to wait for the next release?
I am sorry but I am not using Windows anymore -)
I was used to work with sketchup 7 and the round corner plugin without any problems.I have download and install curviloft, it works really fine and quick.
I have retry roundcorner, still having the same problem.thanks fredo
Then, it would be helpful if other Mac users could tell if they have similar performance issues.
Fredo
Sure thing, I'm having exactly the same problem as JujuSkp. Just got pointed towards this thread for this!

Fredo:
I use Mac OS 10.6 and SketchUp 8.
I have dropped RoundCorner%202 & LibFredo6%203 into the
plugins folder which is nested in the
Sketchup folder which is nested in the
Google SketchUp 8 folder which nested in the
Application Support folder which is nested in the
Library folder which is nested in the
Hard Drive iconWhen I start up SketchUp 8 I see no new tools in the Tools drop-down menu.
Please tell me what I've done wrong.
Thank you
Cliff
cliff, those are the folders you're left with upon unzipping.. you have to open those folders to get to these files:
%(#FF0000)[ROUNDCORNER_Dir_21
ZLoader__RoundCorner.rb]and
%(#FF0000)[LIBFREDO6_Dir_34
LibFredo6.rb]those four items go in the plugins folder at the same path you stated in your post.
Hi, awesome plugin, a shame i cant get it to work. I placed the folders and the files under the plugins folder, as u say, there are 2 folders, the roundcorner plugin folder and the libfredo library folder. And 2 files, the roundcorner plugin file and the libfredo library file. But i cant see anything about the plugin in sketchup, neither in preferences neither in the context menu. Is this plugin working for sketchup 8.0 ???

[b]RoundCorner performs the rounding of the edges and corners of 3D shapes along a 2D profile, in 3 modes: Round corners, Sharp corners and Bevel.
............Hi Fredo6 !
This ruby made a strong impression on me ! It's very very very useful !
I have a small idea, could you resolve it ?
Image link broken, browser stalls thus link removed (poster never came back anyway).
Many thanks !
-
Hi Fredo
I desperately try to install your plugin, but I must have done something wrong: In the Sketchup 7.1 pro i put in the plugin folder:
LIBFREDO6_Dir_35
ROUNDCORNER_Dir_21
LibFredo6.rb
ZLoader__RoundCorner.rb
When starting SU it prompts:ZLoader__RoundCorner.rb
uninitialized constant Traductor::PluginWhy could that be?
Thanks for the help
-
HI,
For some reasons (may be the unzip operation), you do not have th right footprint and LibFredo6 has not been loaded.
I suggest you check again.Fredo

Does anyone know how the max amount of, er, bevel segments (? sorry - not a native speaker) can be upped? Currently the maximum amount is 30. I've been going through the code, but truth be told, I'm not much of a coder.
Help me out, and I'll send you gold, and curvy blondes. Really.

Look inside
**RoundCorner_Commom.rb**
find the line #150
MYDEFPARAM.declare_:DEFAULT_Flag_Numseg, 6, 'I:>0<****30****'
and change the 30 to something else like 72 [that's what I have mine set to]...
Then in**RoundCorner_Tool.rb**
find line #346
@dlgall.field_numeric "num_seg", T6[:DLG_All_Numseg], 6, 1, ****30****
and change the 30 to match - like 72...
and line #1032 find
if numseglock || numseg <= 0 || numseg > ****30****
and change the 30 to match - like 72...PM me about the delivery address
-
Thanks, TIG! Much obliged.
Andrew - sorry, the blondes and the gold are being shipped to TIG's as we speak. I'm sure you understand the supply's limited. I do still have a bag of musty lint.
-
Thats' OK mate. Blonde's are hard work anyway.... I'll let someone else put up with there shit....
