      Hi Guys / Gals

Joined in March but was a bit intimidated by all the knowledge so I thought I would go away and play with SU for a while and I now realise I will learn more from you guys than from sitting on my own struggling to understand a very big and powerful piece of software. I am a kitchen designer / installer and see massive potential to use both SU and a rendering package (Piranesi) to help create much better visuals for my clients and was wondering what advice you guys had for me in terms of the steps I need to take to move up the learning curve?

All help greatly received and appreciated

      Regards

      Dermot

        Hello Dermot πŸ˜„

With regards to the rendering, i think the best thing is to read any introductory material you can find to get a feel for the software than just jump in and give it a go. Dont be afraid to ask lots of questions, either. I know i certainly learn a lot more by asking questions than by reading.

          Hi Dermot and welcome!

I'm not a Piranesi user myself so with that I won't be much of a help but there's much about Sketchup all around here. I see you have already signed up for the Woodpeckers' forum so I think everything should be on track.

Welcome to SCF, my only advice right now is keep watching the forum, ask questions and post images in the gallery in for bragging rights or practical criticism.

                Good luck.

Welcome Dermot. My only additional advice would be to watch all of the GSU training videos (if you have not already), some of them more than once.
