Internet over the TV w/remote keyboard is lame!
-
I've recently discovered how difficult it is to navigate the internet on one of these TV internet hookups with a remote control keyboard. It is remarkably harder than regular internet with out mouse. The provided keyboard apparently took a poll to discover what keys were most useful, and then it promptly removed those keys. So my keeybaord has no ctrl, alt, del, keys. There are a lot more that are missing, but those are the ones I miss the most. Because they can help with mouseless web viewing.
Oh, and I know all of this because apparently I need to have my gallbladder removed. It attacked me early this morning, and it has decided it wants to be removed. So we're taking a little hospital vacation for a few days while they find someone to remove it for me. Complete with all you can ingest morphiene, amongst others
But no amount of morphiene could make up for this lousy TV internet wireless keyboard situation. The gallbladder pain is bad, but its nothing compared to my inteeeeernet withdrawl symptoms

surgery is in 13.5 hours.

i hope all goes well for you.
PS i can't wait to see what kind of scripts you come up with in your morphine induced stupor.
maybe a disappearing reappearing cursor or something? or an unbender

Best of luck with the Op Chris

Operation, huh?
My sympathies...
-
oooh! sorry to hear this, good luck mate.
Forget about work for a few days and use that internet for Netflix instant watch instead.
-
Ooh, sorry to hear about that, good luck
...I've had the opposite of your problem. I have decent controls for internet on T.V., but my internet on T.V. can't play flash files... because I use the Wii. The controller feels like a laser pointer, but on screen keyboards make it hard to type. I have to practice my aiming skills to type more than a sentence
. Good thing I don't use it much.

Sorry to hear that Chris. Just try to relax and I am sure everything will be fine...Good luck.

Thanks all!, I'm out of surgery now and feeling pretty good (thanks in part to the morphine). So I'm here the hospital for the night, and hopefully I'll be back home in the morning - minus one gallbladder <sp?>

Chris I've had my gallbladder removed also. After several gallstone attacks I was more than ready. Gallstone attacks are nasty painful events. With Lapriscopic surgery you can be back to normal in only a few days.
Do your best to avoid taking the drugs they are addictive and morphine will make you constipated. Plus I think mentally you get better faster if you just buck up and bear with the pain of surgery. I was back to work the day after my surgery.
