Cinema 4D exporters?

I think this may have brought up a while ago, but looking at the postings there has never been an answer to the question. Will Sketchup ever bring out an exporter for Cinema 4D preserving the full hierarchy and more importantly components to instances. A real must for Cinema 4D users.

Frankly, I don't think there is any exporter for any platform that holds SU components.
Components are always lost, either they become groups or they are part of a mesh soup, depending on the format.For me, exporting as .fbx format from SU gives the best results in C4D.
Components don't hold though.... -
I export using 3DS and check Use full hierarchy under options. The components will be grouped the same way
and have the same names in the C4D object browser as they did in Sketchup. The only thing is that they will not be instances. I think C4D instances work differently than components so i don't thing that functionality can be translated. It would great if it could.
AutoCAD blocks translate perfectly into Components when bringing a DWG file into Sketchup. It might work the the other way too, but then you are still stuck with the problem of bringing it into C4D.
I use my Sketchup materials to differentiate different elements and then use the select texture tags in the C4D material browser to apply the final finishes to these. 3DS all the way -

DWG blocks come in as components. And I think they export back as blocks.
Max's instances import as SU instances. But a bug in the importer causes only one of the instances to be positioned correctly, and all the rest will be in the same position as the first one.
