        How do you download this pluggin and make it work with sketchup 7 i have only just started using sketch up. 😞 ps i am using windows vista

          Hi Suzi,

          The plugins on this forum are generally attached to the very bottom of the first post (by the author). As for installing them; simply extract the files/folders from the archive directlyunder your C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 7\Plugins folder (this is for my XP). Make sure NOT to let Windows create a separate subfolder of all the extracted files but copy them directly above.
          When it is a single file with a simple rb extension, you just need to save it above.

          Restart SU and enjoy. (And welcome)

            why wont it let me select the line even though its on the red axis? 😕 I have tried redrawing the line several times but it still wont let me select it.

              Perhaps you changed the model axis? Try right clicking on the red axis line and choose "Reset" if the option is available. Then redraw the line on the new red axis.

                    hi chriss, i have been using this incredible plugin for quite a while now, but i recently have been running into a small problem,
                    i am not able to bend anymore, i can start the plugin, select the straigt line, and than select the bend line, but after that the progressbar at the bottom that states how far along it's going, just hangs at 5% and dosn't bend, so i don't even get to see the preview of the bend to even start it, would you know why this is??

                    SU version: 7.1 (latest)

                    i also have your LOFT plugin and this one works fine till now, so i think it's a problem with BEND itself

                        Hey Rachid, I'm not sure what the problem is. It sounds like a similar bug others have experienced when they had a old version of component spray installed. Any chance you have component spray installed recently?

                            Yup, the newest version is located here:

                            It has a few improvements, and fixes the this bug. Specifically what it was doing was interfering with Progressbar. So any script that used progressbar is broken if you have the bad version of Component Spray installed.

                            But get the new version and it should all be working smoothly. Well, as smoothly as shape bender can work, its a bit buggy 😄

                              Hi just wondering if you can help me, I have installed the shape bender several times and still getting the same problem where it wont let me select the line. I have made my box a group, click on the shape bender and then it wont let me continue. I have tryed redrawing the red line, I have reset my axis but still having no luck. Please help

                                Yeah, please set up a file with the the component, curved line and straight line so it is ready to bend, then upload it here. I'll check it out and see if I can get it to work. Then we'll see where to go from there,

                                    Hmm, it worked for me just fine. Select the component, start the tool. The cursor changes a little bit. Hover over the straight line until it turns blue, then click on it. Then click on the curve and it should start processing. It takes about 30 seconds to process on my computer is all.

                                    So. How far into that process can you get? Does the cursor change when you try to activate the tool?

                                        Would you please open the ruby console in Window > Ruby Console.

                                        Then run shape bender. See if that window shows any errors. Please copy the entire text and past it back here. Hopefully it will be giving you some odd error that I can see and fix.
