Forums vs the main site?

I can log in and use the forums with no problems, but the main site denies me access to content but still tells me I am already logged in.
I am not exactly a newbie but I am a bit lost.
Is the main part of the site Java dependent?
Also how do I access or sign up for "premium content" such as advanced tutorials?

yup certain items are coming up denied, logged in or not.

these things should be solved soon I hope. But yes, in general, the site account is totally different from the forum account so in order to see certain content, you need an account there as well as being logged in.
