Convert to Polygon?
-
Just noticed this context menu item for Curves and Arches. When I click it all that appear to change is the name of the entity type in the Entity Info. I can still change the radius and number of segments after converting. What's the use for this function?

Convert to Polygon
The Convert to Polygon menu item is used to convert the entity into a polygon arc, which will remain editable yet generate standard facets when extruded. This menu item is available for the 3D Polyline, Circle, and Curve entities.

close the arc and push/pull

Hi folks.
This function will remove the "smoothness" parameter from a Circle, an Arc or a Freehand line. The entitiy will keep its basic characteristic (Circle, Arc or Freehand line) but, when extruded (pulled or pushed), unsmoothed edges will be generated instead of smoothed edges.
It is too bad that the programmers never though of adding the reverse function. However, this is no big deal since we have the Weld plugin.
Just ideas.

I've actually exploded circles many times just because I wanted non-smoothed edges. This will be handy. Suppose it's one for the "doh" thread.
