      http://www.engrish.com

It's a collection of funny broken English, mostly in Japanese printed advertisement, but also from all over the world.

I keep wondering why the companies that make these awful mistakes can't use a simple spell checker or consult a dictionary before printing such ROFL pieces of broken English.

Note: Some of the pieces of "Engrish" might be offensive.

Don't worry, I have the highest respect for Japan and the rest of Asia. In fact, I understand a little Japanese and I'm sure the native speakers would LOL and ROFL at how I speak and write.

I don't know who came up with the 'tramp stamp' but he/she is a pure genius! 😄

Hmmmmm.....there are probably some people on the other side of the world looking at websites illustrating how the Western world makes hilarious mistakes with the Chinese/Japanese language, and rolling on the floor laughing their asses off.

                My avatar is an anachronism.

On the Engrish site I once found a link to a site that did just that. For instance, some tattoos were funny in a way their bearers could scarcely have intended...

Great find! ROTFLMAO! Bookmarked for sure!

The next time I go to my favorite sushi joint, I think I'll show the owner a copy of the "Health Demolition Tofu Recipe". She's 100% Japanese and I know she'll get a great laugh out of it.

Heck, why not? She suffers through my broken Japanese on a regular basis!

                      Cheers!

I can personally verify the attached as I took the photo of a menu outside a restaurant in Kobe a few months ago. I quite admired their logic, they obviously realised they were unable to translate it correctly, so if in doubt why be specific? 😆

Japanese bar names are a treasure trove of absolutely bizarre English- pretty much every single building entrance in any Japanese downtown area is plastered with dozens of signs for a plethora of tiny bars hidden away on upper floors. Almost without exception the bars have English names even though non-Japanese are often unwelcome and as even a small city has probably tens of thousands of these miniscule drinking dens they have to be very imaginative to come up with anything original.... very imaginative indeed.
