Error 12

Has anyone gotten this error message. I'm having so many display issues despite a lot of tweaking and forum reading. All i can say is stay away from the 8800 GTS 512. It sucks and has been discontinued. I'm glad. Crass

Its an old beta that I'm running at the suggestion of someone on a forum. I thought it was better but SU still looks worse than on my 5 year old Pentium 4 laptop.

I have two 8800GTS's in sli mode on one of my rigs and never had a single problem.
Try updating the driver, a new one came out last month.

I got an 8800GT, not sure if there's a big difference between the GT and the GTS, but it's cause me no problems under Vista 32bit or Windows 7 64bit.
So I'd say it doesn't look like a lost case. Could be a software or hardware configuration that causes your problems. As Solo suggests, start of by updating to a new non-beta driver. Then lets take it from there. -
Gives me some hope. I will try the newest driver. I was planning on setting up an SLI but I cannot even get one card to work right now.
I think there is a significant difference between GT and GTS. I'm thinking about trying Windows 7 64-bit, probably in a month or so. Its supposed to be better about drivers.

I'd hold with the SLI until you can get things running stable. SLI is just another thing that might make things more complicated. In order to try to get to the bottom of this it's best to keep things simple.
