Gonna buy V-Ray?....check this site...
-
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to share my V-Ray purchase experience. I bought my copy from http://www.vray.com. Great price and all of my pre-buy questions answered pronto. I must have sent about 15 e-mails and on the weekend I might ad and they were all replied to within a few hours. The fellow I delt with is Scott. If you're thinking of buying V-Ray, this site is worth checking out. I know this sounds a bit like a typical testimonial ad, but I think anything said would...
Cheers,
Jeff -
That's interesting. Quite a bit cheaper than from ASGVis themselves. I'll remember that next time we need a new license.

On http://www.asgvis.com the price is 799,00 USD
On http://www.vray.com the price is 725,00 USD and on top you can get a 26,00 USD saving from their cupon...
Strange...As far as I can see it is the plug-in ASGvis have made...
Perhaps the difference in price relates to VAT or something...?!?

Yes the price is great. I think what is going on is that http://www.vray.com bought volume licenses and got a large discount because of being a re-seller. The same happens with products where I work. They are working together.

Great find, however these are tough times and even the discounted price may soon be lowered due to global economical conditions (at least I hope so as I definately want to get Vray one day)

Very true....I am looking at adding to my programs and will be looking for good pricing on others soon...Rhino....Modo....CS4.

Hi Guys,
Thank you for the kind words. To answer some of your questions, yes we are a reseller and ASGvis is the developer. We can offer lower prices due to our investment in being a reseller. There are no VAT charges and we do not charge shipping since it is a download. We work very closely with ASGvis and they are a great company.
We currently have a 'Sweet Valentine' special offer running but if you decide later to purchase V-Ray for SketchUp and if we are not running a special at the time, be sure to contact me and I'll see what I can do. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Scott Slausonhttp://www.vray.com

Well, if the buyer is outside the jurisdiction of the seller, no VAT should be charged.
For example, Skype charges me no VAT, because they're located in Europe, and I'm in Ecuador.
When I buy something from Adorama Camera (NY) and have it sent to Miami, FL, I have to pay no taxes, but if I have it sent to Brooklyn, NY then I do have to pay the NY state tax. -

For another example, we are located in Springdale, AR USA so customers who are located in Arkansas USA and purchase products from us have to pay a state tax fee. Taxes are only required for customers located within the state that our company resides in.
