I just recently moved my SU6 component library over to SU7. It really made things easier for me. Now, I don't need to mess around with the 3D Warehouse and the internet.
No back button is really shortsighted. I can't imagine who thought this made sense.
Edit: I agree wholeheartedly with JesseJames.

I've activated my 3DWarehouse search again ( with webdialog ). The icons in the Browser are to small to find something useful. Or can anyone see the quallity of a model?
But the back button is a must have!

Ugly way to make new versions: take away good things and not fix known issues
Our Google, give us the back button! -
I, too, moved my SU6 component library over to SU7; but it seems like Google could come up with a better (improved) library for SU7.
But I also like the ability to directly insert a warehouse model so I wouldn't want to see that go away.Back Button: Absolutely!!

In general the Component Browser sucks. The fact that I have to connect to the 3DW every time I want to download a model, the frequency of finding out that i've downloaded a 'kewl' model instead of something actually useful, the tiny preview pictures that are basically useless, terrible descriptions of the models, ugh. I can honestly say that i dread using the Component Browser in SketchUp - one of the few things I can say that about, but wow what a weak ass point of the program.
Which brings me to my next question, is anybody developing a parallel Component Browser ruby that addresses these problems? It would be a really valuable asset to the SketchUp community, and could help SU compete with other BIM programs like Revit, etc.
Now that we have Dynamic Components we need to have access to them in a clean, clear, useful and efficient way - exactly the opposite of what the Component Browser currently offers.

yes please on the back button. I am really hating the new component browser. Please just accept that some of us cant use the type of models found in the warehouse in a professional envrironment. The new browser makes it longer to get to my components, irks me everytime. Give me back the SU6 component browser please.

I'm quite suprised that no one from the sketchup google team has not commented on this. (So far).
I think I mis/understand the google vision of the warehouse, a worldwide resource etc?, but this smacks of marketing bullying a' la microsoft and all the others who try to ram things down our throats.
When will they all realise that while this sort of marketing might work in the short term, its doomed. Cos we will bite them back - by avoiding it. I would have thought that getting some quality navigation into the warehouse would be the thing to make it a truly valuable resource. (By quality navigation, I guess I mean not having to wade thru reams of crap to find a decent model.)
The growing collections of manufacturers products seems to be the most valuable thing for google and the people who need it, I dont however. Perhaps they could give us an option to opt out on set up, and just stay inside our our own computers?
I HATE the present component browser. If someone, as hinted, could come with something user friendly I would be happy to pay for it.baz.
ps: I have such a large collection of comps now I often revert to windows explorer thumbnails to find things and then open them in a new su workspace, not an ideal workflow. -

There is a component browser as part of RpToolswhich has a 30 day trial. $75 after that
Nb This just browsers the component directory at the moment, but there has been a requested to allow it to search your computer. It also can also search 3d warehouse.
PS You can also use mouse to spin and orbit the component by dragging on the image preview.(EDIT) I wonder if Al could separate it from the other tools it and sell it at a reduced price, until we get the back button back

Still nothing from Google on giving us back the Back button?
Come on Google, please, it can't be that difficult to do and it would make things so much easier for us all.
