Is there a script or plugin where you can prevent models from intersecting with another model it is near or touching... for example if you have a bowl of apples - and each apple is a separate component... you are dropping or placing each apple in the bowl in whatever arrangment you want... is there a script or plugin that can be used when placing the apples in the bowl that will make it easier to prevent intersecting with the other apples in the bowl???

    thank you

basically trying to see if there is a timesaving way to place them close to each other evening touching but not intersecting each other... other then just manually moving each apple to place it touching but trying not to intersect...

          thanks for everyone's assistance ๐ŸŽ‰

Tamfore, I think I know what you are talking about but unfortunately I have no solution. When I was working on this candy jar recently it was time consuming having to move each piece of candy and make sure they were not overlapping. It would be nice to have a script that limits the distance of movement when encountered with another object.

I don't know for sure, but maybe this could be done with the SketchyPhysics or Drop plugins.

How about Didier's component spray tool? There is something in it which prevents stacking afaik.

Tamore, let me, please, correct you a bit and clarify a misunderstanding here: "intersecting " means something different in SU therefore some folks above seemed to be giving dumb advices.
