Components Intersecting - prevent this? Plugin available?
-
Thanks...that is kind of what I have been doing... just wondering if there was a plugin similar to the drop plugin...
thanks for your tip
-
basically trying to see if there is a timesaving way to place them close to each other evening touching but not intersecting each other... other then just manually moving each apple to place it touching but trying not to intersect...
thanks for everyone's assistance

Tamfore, I think I know what you are talking about but unfortunately I have no solution. When I was working on this candy jar recently it was time consuming having to move each piece of candy and make sure they were not overlapping. It would be nice to have a script that limits the distance of movement when encountered with another object.

That is exactly what I am trying to do - except with apples in a bowl... ok well i will just plug along manually - maybe soon they will come up with that plugin! thanks for your help.

Sure, I just placed a request in the Ruby Forum Here. Maybe we will get lucky
-
I don't know for sure, but maybe this could be done with the SketchyPhysics or Drop plugins.

have already tried the drop plugins... doesnt not give the correct effect completely

Sketchyphysics will work,after playing physics simulation....."cntrl A".......right click...group shape change....to static.

How about Didier's component spray tool? There is something in it which prevents stacking afaik.
Tamore, let me, please, correct you a bit and clarify a misunderstanding here: "intersecting" means something different in SU therefore some folks above seemed to be giving dumb advices.

can you direct me where to find that spray tool?
