[Req] Curve Divider
-
i notice that both SU native 'divide' and Didier's 'divide by points' do not work on curves, is there a way to achieve this, or something in the nature of these entities just won't allow it?
incidentally Fredo's curves (beziers) can be converted to polylines and those can be divided with segmentor http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=13563&start=15

only one to need this?

surely curves are divided already, just specify the amount of sides before you draw it.

sure Pav, however the need arises when you more complicated geometry than an arc - not all lines are the same in SU - you have Curves, Polygons, and of course a whole load of Beziers..
i think it would be great if you could subdivide the particular portion of such entities

I think it could be done without too much difficulty. If no one gets to it before me, I'll look at it after I get done with Windowizer4 (and TextureReloader, and...)

Thanks Rick - it is appreciated even if it is 99 in the list

ah now i get it, i figured you just wanted to use it on a regular curve. my bad.
fair doos, would be quite useful now i think about it.

Yes please, curve divider would be very helpful. If it could work like the divide line that would be great. I often need to construct very complicated curved ramps so being able to divide the curves that define the ramp equally would be nice so that the ramp climbs smoothly.
