Hello- I am having a problem where I right click on a component and select "reload" and the usual browse for file dialog is not appearing. Does anyone else have experience with this?

      Thanks!

Yes, this is a bug in SU6 that usually happens when you are working with an older file (i.e. V5). It's been discussed and acknowledged on the Beta forum, but never fixed. A work-around is to "save as" your component (give it a new name and you can delete it later). Then try reload and you will get the browser. If you have multiple components to reload you have to repeat the process. Can be very time consuming (not to mention annoying) if you have lots of components. Let's hope they fix it in V7.

They must have read the issue previously as well 😉

Yes, at the moment I'm sure a developper works on this bug, good luck!

                        Hi,

Just to say that a workaround have been described on the French Forum :
Find topic : "Bug : recharger coposant, rien ne se passe" or select the link

                        301 Moved Permanently

                        favicon

Read the thread "Post by Matt666 on Thu Sep 18, 2008 9:46 am "

Feel free to re-write it for us right here in this thread since if it is in French, many of us don't speak it. And since it is in the French sub forum, most of us are locked out to protect us from seeing a forum in another language we don't speak.

                          Thanks,

                          Chris

                            Hi Chris,

Her is a little translation of Matt666 thread :

                            1. Import the component you want to update : File -> Import
                            2. In "Window -> Components -> Select -> In Model", right clic on the component which has to be replaced and clic on "Select Instance"

                            http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/download/file.php?id=14476&t=1

                            1. Right clic on the new component you have just import and clic on "Replace Selected"

                            http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/download/file.php?id=14477&t=1

                            Ciao,
                            Oli
